Simeon LOVELL

I have a question about an old farm in
Catharine Schuyler County.  In the year 1800, our Simeon Lovell settled on a
farm one mile south of the corners at Johnson's Settlement.  It was located
across from the Isaac Estabrook Farm.  At this time, this was considered
Tioga County.  Simeon built a blacksmith shop there but it is no longer
standing.  Simeon Lovell died about May of 1818.  His wife Betsey still shows
up as living in the 1830 census with her son, our William Lovell and his wife
Olive.  I cannot locate Simeon and Betsey's burial places.  I speculate that
they are buried in Catharine Cemetery as William and Olive Lovell are buried
there.  However, I have no way to tell from here.  The lists of people buried
at that cemetery do not show them as being buried there.

BIOGRAPHY: --M.E. Society of Catharine was organized in the year 1805.  Church erected in 1834.  Trustees:  Samuel Agard, Simeon Lovell, Sewell Pike, Jesse Lyon, Levi Mallet.
